A tsp inspiration on how to plan your day + Weekly planner printable!!!!

'Do something instead of killing time because time is killing you!' - Paulo Coelho

Planning your day is the second step to being productive after commitment.

When you plan your day you know exactly what to do and how your 24 hours are going to be used.

So, 'The Productivity and Books Spot' bring to you a blog which includes a tsp of inspiration on how to plan your day. We have made this extremely crisp and you can look for more inspiration in our other blogs + there is a free weekly planner printable!! In the end. We solemnly swear reading this will make you good!

Firstly, you need a pencil and paper to begin (you can use our printable planner which is there at the end) or an electronic device. Next write down all the things that you need to do in that particular day and priortize them. And also figure out how much time you need as breaks in which you can basically do any thing of your will.

Also estimate the time required for each task, keeping a bit extra, because if its not done in estimated time then it can be done with that extra time or if you do it early you feel a sense of accomplishment!

Here comes time blocking-

Time Blocking can be done both digitally and physically. Look at the picture of mine. Time blocking means designating each hour of your day specifically for one task and if you have multiple small tasks then put them together in one hour. This way you know what exactly you are doing each hour, how your time is utilised and you can do everything of yours this way. If you're interested in more time management tips then look at this blog: Running out of time...? Here are tips to make out time for everything.

One more technique is to have buffer time

Buffer time is basically few hours or one hour in a day in which you do not assign anyhting before but when you see there is some work left or something very urgent or something you missed because you got busy in something else then use the buffer time for the same to cover your mistakes or do extra.

Nextly, you need to focus on being productive and not being busy.
Being Productive is very different from being busy.
Maybe you are doing alot of tasks each day and you are fully engaged and occupied but you are not productive because being productive means to get results or to achieve from your actions or in very basic words feeling satisfied with what you did. So try to do actions and things so that you get results it may not be instant it might even take years but there is progress and you feel triumphant ;)

And lastly, keep your planner in front you or where you can keep seeing it and follow it because there is no use of planning when you don't remember what to do and your planner is kept high on a shelf

Extra tip- you can also plan a day before hand, maybe a night before or on the weekend so that you are all set for the whole week. And at times when you get a task not planned or something extra use your buffer time.
